Conformation
Conformation is all about celebrating breed standards. Whether it’s a dog’s gait, muscle structure, stride, coloration, or other similar characteristics, these teams work to earn titles that demonstrate their understanding of the breed.
Obedience
When you compete in obedience, you have the chance to compete together to demonstrate how well your dog understands their role as your teammate. With minimal commands, you two must compete a series of marked tasks with in a show ring in order to work towards a title.
Rally
If Obedience is about precision, Rally is the next step which brings in speed! These events are judged on accuracy and time. While Rally uses many of the same skills as Obedience, you’ll have the opportunity to talk with your dog throughout each run and keep their energy up!
Weight Pulling
Do you have a dog looking for a way to let out some energy? Weight Pulling could be the sport for you! This is ideal for dogs who are bred to work. Breeds like Alaskan Malamutes, Dogo Argentinos, Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, and many others are staples at these events.
